- 1 oz Grapefruit

Preparation
First thing you will want to do is prepare your Comisario Jalapeno Simple Syrup, now, it’s a entirely personal choice which sugar you choose, whether you choose the deliciously sweet white sugar, the naturally divine coconut sugar or a slim for summer fave by some, a sugar-free alternative called “Allulose”, I encourage you to choose the sugar you like best as life is about enjoying yourself in moderation and not letting a blog dictate your choices.
To make our delicious simple syrup, we sliced three jalapeño peppers. For more flavor, chop finely and ensure the jalapeno juice flavor seeps and steeps well into the sugar and water mixture for a spicier full flavored syrup or if you prefer a lighter sweeter version, chop larger pieces.
Now for the sweet syrup base, you will bring to a boil one part sugar of your choice and one part water, once the sugar has completely dissolved, then combine the syrup, dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice and jalapenos in a refrigerator and heat-safe jar, let chill for at least three hours, strain and keep refrigerated until ready to make your spicy summer Comisario cocktails.
Now the cocktail creation can begin.
First, prepare your glass, if you have a brush handy you can swipe half your glass with your spicy Comisario Jalapeno Syrup and dunk into black salt or any other salt you choose, do the half rim or a full rim or the trending paintbrush side of salt as you like it.
For the Comisario Reposado Spicy Paloma cocktail, you will simply start with 1 oz of your syrup, add lime juice, grapefruit, and Tequila Comisario Reposado, and top with soda, garnish the glass with a slice of jalapeno and lime wedge and you are ready to serve your guests a delicious cocktail they will thank you for!
